    • @leah: Hellooo gorgeous! That dress is hot, period (I’m a firm believer in the LRD — little red dress — over the LBD, however blasphemous that may be!). And because it’s such a freakum dress (Beyonce reference, lol!) — fairly body conscious, the red color, the ruching — despite the simplicity of it all, I’d personally keep the accessories simple. A nude, patent pump for a bit of edge that’s still sophisticated, or even a nude, strappy platform heel + a stack (I prefer 3 at most, but some people can rock the armful) of thin, silver or rose gold bangles on your wrist + cocktail ring (optional) on the hand of the other arm. An oversized clutch would be quite cute in a beige or camel color; perhaps you can even go metallic if you’re feeling a bit adventurous!

      If I’m feeling a bit edgier, always fall back to the rock-chic type aesthetic. A black leather ankle boots + leather jacket over top + a large silver skull ring would be so killer, I think.

      These are just personal tips of mine – I hope this helps! Let me know what you decide to do; regardless of accessories, the dress on it’s own would be AMAZING. I’m sure you’ll look great in it with just that, a great heel & no other accessories (: xx

  2. Hello lady. I thought I’d let you know how utterly obsessed I am with your blog. I’m 25 yrs old, Hispanic (Dominican specifically), single girl, working on my master’s in occupational and environmental safety. I have a job at a psychiatric hospital (which I sort of despise), and am living on my own in the ever exciting state of RI. I can say that in my 25 summers of life, I’ve seen quite a bit. But I’ve never, ever seen such a wonderful teenager (I can’t!)- as you are my dahlin. I adore how you express yourself, and your unapologetic ways. I’ve been following you since La Couturier, of course. I quickly became addicted to your girliness, and love for all things black-as I am. But I’ve never been one to leave comments on the 3 bloggers I stalk. With you, I could not resist! Especially after noticing your lately infatuation with bachata and merengue. I’m sure you rock it better than yours truly, as I’ve never been a “good” dancer. I am however, obsessed with all things sex, so I sort of make up for it a tad :p. So go on, continue surprising your readers, and proving that not all 19 yr olds are clueless. God bless you today and always. A very happy, prosperous new year to you. Muahh!

    Hope all is well. My name is Danielle Brown and and I absolutely love your blog. I love how you are so informative on your blog…not to mention your writing is absolutely engaging, colorful, addictive…just flawless! I am currently a student at Rider University and eventually I want to start my own style blog and eventually become a wardrobe stylist and I would love to learn from you and take advice from the best. For my senior seminar class I have to conduct an interview with someone who does what I eventually want to do, and you’re perfect for this assignment. The interview won’t be anything extensive; 6-8 short-answer questions will do.
